Downtown Denver Colorado:
Arapahoe Square has long been and continues to be a symbol of Denver revitalization. Developers continue investing in this transformative region, which is heralded as one of the best places to invest in Denver. Arapahoe Square also includes the city's oldest residential neighborhood, Curtis Park. Curtis Park was developed in the 1860s and 1870s. Well-preserved Victorian mansions sit next to duplexes, town homes and the $26 million renovation of former public housing units built circa 1950. The Creamery -- an ice cream parlor turned Mexican takeout and neighborhood hangout -- sits in front of Mestizo-Curtis Park, which was the first of more than 200 parks established in Denver.
From the eastward curve as Brighton Boulevard just north of Blake Street, through downtown, the Colorado State Capitol, the Denver Art Museum, the Mayan Theatre, Antique Row, and plenty of bars, dispensaries and car lots en route to the city limits at Yale Avenue, Broadway is the north-south heart of Denver.
Sure, Colfax Avenue might be longer, but Broadway is in many ways the city's soul, bookended by Five Points and Baker, with notable points on either side of both neighborhoods. Change is happening -- the century-old Gates factory is coming down, and the Golden Triangle is a development hotspot -- but the street's history continues to shine, with layer after layer from decades past.
