The Many Aspects of Colorado Growth:

Inc. is out with its latest annual lists of the nation's fastest-growing private companies, and 14 Colorado businesses have made the elite Inc. 500 ranking.

That's up by one from last year's top 500. Four Colorado firms are in the top 100.

Overall, 132 Colorado companies made the larger Inc. 5000 list for 2015 (including those in the top 500), up from last year's 122 but down from 2013's 134.

Colorado ranks 13th among the states for the most Inc. 5000 companies. California comes in at No. 1 with 681, followed by Texas (423) and New York (357).

Colorado ranks first among the interior West states, followed by Arizona (109), Utah (92) and Nevada (27).
