Denver was in the top 10 in commercial real estate market in last year's ranking, but jumped up to No. 1 because of job growth, construction and economic expansion, particularly in energy, technology and health care, according to a recent the report.
Denver has recovered from the Great Recession and moved into expansion mode with positive market absorption in every market segment. Investor confidence and activity from the east and west costs has led to a resurgence in development with a abundance of new projects, with many new industrial projects and also new retail projects in recent months.
Immediately following Denver in the ranking were San Francisco, Houston and Dallas.
