Gail joined Phill Foster and Company in 2001 after an extensive career in auctioneering, agriculture, and livestock, and with personal hands-on farm and ranch land experience. These experiences are his vital connection to handling land-use properties, and Gail has brokered the largest transaction in the company’s portfolio: $13.5 million. He is the co-owner of D & G Farms, a 1,100 acre farm in Kansas. This active background and personal life knowledge of farm and ranch land and water rights are his greatest strengths.
He graduated from the College of Auctioneering in Billings, Montana, following two years of service in the Marine Corps. He auctioneered and was part owner of K & R Livestock in Broomfield, Colorado. His experience in this field includes the Denver Western Stock Show (of which he still a member). He was an auctioneer and Field Man for the Livestock Exchange in Brush, Limon Livestock, Quality Livestock in Stratton, and Centennial Livestock in For Collins – all in Colorado.
In addition, Gail has served as the State President of the Colorado Livestock Market Association, and on the Board of Directors for the National Livestock Market Association. He won Runner-up World Champion of the National Auctioneer’s Association in 1971 and 1977, and Reserve World Champion in 1972 and 1973.
He is currently the President of the Council of Horizon Community Church. Gail and his wife of 46 years, Dori, reside in Englewood, Colorado.
